Véronique D'Abaté

Véronique began her training in Tap and Jazz at the age of 9. Immediately passionate about dance, she began training in classical ballet at the Pierre-Laporte school followed by the École Supérieure de Danse du Québec. Throughout this training, she was also a performer in the Classical/Art/Jazz Contemporary dance company, directed by Johanne Boivin (Ballet Jazz de Montréal) and France Dufresne (Eddy Toussain). During these years with the company, she worked with several renowned teachers and choreographers such as Howard Richard, Françine Liboiron, Marc Forest and Jean-Jacques Pillet. She then made a leap towards urban dance, being part of the Urban Dance Company (U.D.S) directed by Marvin Baptiste. After a few years with the company, she flew to Mexico to dance in productions such as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Moulin Rouge. Upon her return, she undertook the “International Visa Program” at Step On Broadway in New York City. There she trained with choreographers such as Joe Lanteri, Rapsody, Brian Freedman, Jay T and many others. Upon her return, she joined the ranks of the UNKUT Production Company directed by Alexandra “Spicey” Lande. With this company, she danced in several events such as the famous Choreograher’s Ball (New York, Toronto and Los Angeles) as well as with several artists such as Jabbawockeezs, Chamilionnaire and Flip Mode Squad. Véronique has also danced for the Jazz Festival, Just For Laughs, Les Francofolies, Zombie Zone (La Ronde) and was a cheerleader for the Montreal Alouettes. In March 2010, she choreographed a piece for the Cirque du Soleil’s One Drop Foundation. Since 2011, she participates (as a dancer), in the productions of the Opera of Montreal, among others The Operas Rusalka, Manon, Turandot and the famous Opera Carmen. She has been dancing since 2010 with the Famous Live Band. In June 2010, she founded her own dance company, SUITE 19, and is now part of the Buron Agency family. Veronique is also a recognized choreographer and teacher for over 20 years in Canada and internationally. In 2010, she founded the Bravissimo competition with her partner, Isabelle Bélanger.

Isabelle Bélanger

Isabelle started dancing at the age of 5. At 15, she began substitute teaching and 3 years later she officially launched her teacher career. She knew from the start that her heart belonged there and in 1995, following an internship in New York City, she decided to dedicate herself to teaching. At 21, she partnered with two of her friends and opened a dance school. After modest beginnings and dissociation with her partners, she decided to make an investment and move Studio 360 into a 2000 square foot location. Her students then doubled and 5 years later, their 2000 square foot building was too small. She invested with her partner and they purchased a 10 000 square feet building. Five years after that, Studio 360 has 5 large studios, more than 800 students and has won several first prizes in regional, provincial and international competitions. Despite the many responsibilities brought on by her dance Studio, Isabelle does not lose sight of her dancing and teaching training. She takes dance classes year round and advanced training once a year with celebrated teachers such as Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, among others. Her teaching philosophy at Studio 360 is : students must receive the highest quality of training. She ensures her teachers excel in their respective discipline. It was with great pleasure in 2010, that she associated with cofounder Véronique D’Abaté to create Bravissimo.
